What is a good coverup makeup foundation that don't make you look made up?

Any make-up foundation when not applied properly will make you look made up. And having chosen the wrong color for your skin tone will even make it worse. So I suggest you choose a color one number lighter than your natural color. Practice applying it. Very sheer and even. Practice until you are satisfied with results. Try it with whatever kind and brand you presently have. What is a good coverup makeup foundation that don't make you look made up?
I use Rimmel foundation and powder. Oh god, I'm a Rimmel whore! What is a good coverup makeup foundation that don't make you look made up?
I don't know, good skin?

~Just My 0.02
Rimmel works really well. I just started using it and i was surprised at how easily it went on and how little i had to use. It looks so natural. I don't know what skin tone color you have, but i use sand
Mary Kay. And fundation, and powder
this product called bare essentials it looks so natural
Bare Escentuals!!! My mom has dark spots on her skin, and that is what she uses to cover up and look more natural!
Absolutely without a doubt, Bare Minerals!!!!

I have tried everything over the years and it is the best.

You can get it at Sephora, online or over the phone (tv infomercial)

It ROCKS!!! And it does not make you break out.
I really love Neutrogena's new Mineral Sheers Bronzer. It also comes in powders. I find that the bronzer acts like a foundation. It's light and looks natural, not at all cakey or made up! I never wear foundation for that reason, I like to look natural and not have all of those gross, cakey lines, you know!? Anyway, try it, I think you'll like it.
There is nothing better than MAC Studio Fix. Nothing.
Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals.

It's a powder foundation, lasts all day, doesn't clog your pores, covers like a liquid, but doesn't feel like you are wearing anything. Everyone I know asked me what I did to my skin to make it look so good - they thought I wasn't wearing any makeup!

I swear by it.

They sell it in infomercials, but you can also buy it online and there are some stores throughout the country that sell it. Try doing a google search for it first.

Need Pale Foundation: Is Estee Lauder Double Wear Shell paler than Make Up Forever HD 107?

I tried Make Up Forever HD Foundation in 107, the palest shade. However, it is too dark and orange on my pale skin. Is Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell paler than that shade? Or do you have any other recommendations for foundation for pale skin. I don't want mineral make-up, although it's what I normally wear, because I need foundation for my wedding that will work well in photography.Need Pale Foundation: Is Estee Lauder Double Wear Shell paler than Make Up Forever HD 107?
Try Make Up Forever Mat Velvet +. The colour I bought is ';alabaster'; and trust me I am super pale but this is too pale for me. The velvet + collection has a big range of paler colours in yellow and pink undertones.

When building a house out of make-up, should I start with the foundation?

Well you're going to have to ';clear the land ';first. I recommend a gentle dermabrasion and then a deep moisturizer before that foundation. This question makes me blush !When building a house out of make-up, should I start with the foundation?
I would first use a concealor in the trouble areas first, then move on to the foundation. When building a house out of make-up, should I start with the foundation?
so not funny.
duh
Exfoliate first.
You're funny.
Yep....Revlon
the foundation is key...but, more key is what you build your foundation out of...that can make it or break it....house built on sand won't stand... :)
wtf? I guess q-tips
Well I would fill in any parts that look uneven with concealer and then foundation everything. You can get fake eyelashes to help hold things up. Lipstick to paint it, Lip gloss to make it shiny and eye shadow to gently color the ceiling.

Oh I forgot! Make sure the land has a little moisturizer on it because you don't wanna hit some dry spots.
yes you should,

everything starts with a good foundation
And you work your way all the way up to powder.
lol haha ive heard that one!!!!!! =D
Of cause !! How else would you start
I'd put some filler in first to fill out the cracks before the foundation as it will just gather in the cracks and just highlight them.
Yes:)
absolutely

but where to go from there?
not forgetting some good gloss to give the exterior a quick lick!
yes,water proof based.
i would moisturize first. foundation alone could dry things out and crack...then the whole house is faulty
no its usually not flat, start with the blusher
Best way to start, smart question
yes
lol cute..then some primer

Is foundation good to hide spots? (make-up question)?

Hello I never used foundation or compact powder before, because I never needed.

But now in pregnancy, I am getting lots of spots all over my face!! 

Is it a good idea to use make up to hide during the day?

Is foundation good to hide spots? (make-up question)?
idkIs foundation good to hide spots? (make-up question)?
hi there, i'm 36w3d pregnant :) i deff know what you mean about the spots on your face and the discoloration. i had them earlier on in my pregnancy and i used concealer to cover them up...if they were bad enough. but i'm not sure if your having a problem with acne in your pregnancy? i have never had more than 4 zits on my face at a time and since becomming pregnant i'v had bad acne. so now i stay away from face make up. however, you should try a loose mineral powder. it works great!!. the foundation made me break out and so did the compact powders. (i never needed them before either). if your self concious about the spots i say cover them up. concealers work real well. good luck to you and with your pregnancy :)
cement will cover them better as will liquid latex, plaster or face mask
Yeah i think it will work. I use dream matte mouse to cover mine when i get them, then i take my makeup off at night so it doesnt stay in my pores all night.
Concealer is what you need...too much foundation can also cause spots...

I would say the best one to get is Clear Complexion by Rimmel London only £3.68 !!! what a bargain !!!! lol

    hope that helped !
in pregnant woman there hormone is very active thats why some have acne on there face, black spots and oily skin cause of the estrogen hormone.

*choose a compact powder that prevents oil in the face, has a label of vitamin e. and ohh make sure you choose the right texture color of the foundation that you will buy =)
la roche posay have a brilliant concealer... its called ';movie ___'; its v v good and has ';studio'; coverage, you can't even see the bumps under your skin with it... they use it in film sorry i can't think of the second name of it!
    Hey,

I think you should use a concealer so it doesn't cover your whole face then try dusting over a foundation powder like -

    http://www.superdrug.com/content/ebiz/superdrug/invt/385980/385980_l.jpg

Also make sure you keep your face clean to stop the spots getting worse.

I hope you found this useful

    X

All I can say is make sure you get one that doesnt block your pores, or it will make your skin worse.
    use concealor and mineral foundaton.
Foundation is great for that! Since you're never tried it before, I suggest something natural and lightweight. The Body Shop has GREAT foundation, and it's natural so it doesn't break your skin out any. I used to use Lancome, but it's about $40 and I'd rather use The Body Shop (same amount of coverage, half the price!) You can go to any cosmetic counter and try their foundation. They will show you how to apply it. When you find one that you like, don't buy it immediately. Wear it for a few hours to see how it lasts and how your skin reacts to it. Then, if you like it, go back and purchase it. I also suggest a tinted moisturizer under your foundation.
i really dont think its a good idea to put face make-up on spots because itll generally just make them worse. if they cant ';breathe'; theyll just last longer, and clogging your pores with heavy make-up will mean youll get more and more! it ends up as a vicious circle...

if you get really self conscious about them then i agree with the person that suggested just a loose mineral powder, as these are much lighter than foundation or compact powder. dont forget of course that your doctor will probs be able to prescribe an effective cream to combat spots -- theres probably even a specific cream for pregnancy-spots! exfoliating your face regularly will also help cause it removes dead skin that spots luuurve.

my best wishes for your new baby. good luck!
No use concealer to hide spots, it has a thicker consistancy and is basically made to hide blemishes...Foundation is for all over face to give a better look to the skin all over :)

Or if it is something I haven't mentioned, please tell me.

Thanks xWhich make up tool is better to use for mineral foundation?
kabuki brush. I used to use the gross kind but then I got a kubuki. It really evens out the power and makes it look so much smoother and real on your skin. Also, if you apply the foundation in circles with the brush, you can create an airbrushed look!Which make up tool is better to use for mineral foundation?
kabuki brush if u use mineral powder

QUO Brushes- $12-30, if ur using mineral liquid foundation

use brushes, no sponges, pads because sponges absord all the foundation- waste!, brushes dont, ttheyre soft and allow coverage over skin u can ask a cosmetic consultant in a cosmetic department of shoppers drug mart, walmart or other stores that ur city has

    hope this helps
I asked my girlfriend, and without her evenknowing that kabuki brush was an option, she picked kabuki. I don't know what a kabuki brush is... so good luck.
I love a flat top brush it gives great coverage and apply it smoothly and evenly

    Here's a great one
