i'm so tired of trying stuff that some people say works wonders for my skin type and it turning out to be a dud! i've tried all rimmel's foundations, a revlon one for dry/normal skin that didn't cover and stay on well, maybelline mousse matte...i'm just wasting my money on crummy products not fit for my skin! i NEED answers. i need help! (i have very fair/light complexion btw)Foundation - which make up brand do i use for dry, patchy, sensitive skin?! please hellp before i give up!!!!
Whatever you do, do not use Bare Minerals, it contains bismuth and that will make your skin feel itchy and breakout. Try a hypoallergenic and fragrance free cosmetic line such as Clinique, Almay, and Physicians Formula. These brands are great for sensitive skin and contain cleaner ingredients compared to Maybelline, Loreal, CoverGirl, and Rimmel.Foundation - which make up brand do i use for dry, patchy, sensitive skin?! please hellp before i give up!!!!
I just had that too! I also have sensitive skin. My skin was peeling off! It was disgusting, so my friend recommended Aveeno, shes Korean, she has the best skin I ever know, and I thought it was because shes Korean ,most of them do. But she told me it was all a lie, she uses Aveeno everyday! And I just washed my face, put it on, and it was all better already! Then you can wear whatever make-up you want it wont make you skin dry! Hope I helped!
i would go for bare minerals are use face moistrizer before you put it on
first of all u should exfoliate ur face 2 or 3 times a week. since u have dry patchy skin use cream type moisturiser instead of lotion type. i love Mac hyper real cos it makes my skin glow and dewy looking. finish it wif studio fix powder.ask for sample at the counter. this way u know wats good and suit ur skin.
* mix honey and youghurt- as face mask
you should use dove sensitive skin body wash or use aveno lotion or dove lotion.
i do this all the time....before you put on anything fill the sink with cold water. hold your breathe and put your head under until you need to take a breathe again. pat dry. then put aveeno daily moisturizer on your skin. let dry for a few minutes then dap on foundation that's lighter than your normal skin tone so when you put it on your red spots they wont turn orange. then put a press powder over your whole face to even out your skin tone. i do this too and it works for me so i hope it works for you.
I feel for ya hun. Been there done that. Do yourself the biggest favor in the world and spend ONE dollar on a sample of the Hollywood mineral foundation from LA Minerals.
It's what I use and it is the best makeup I've ever used. They have tons of shades, so hopefully you will find one that works for you. But most important that feels right on your skin. THere's silk powder in it and silica microspheres and stuff like that that really helps your skin feel good.
If you have spots you need to cover, their concealers are great too....just use a LITTLE tiny bit though. I'll give you the link: http://www.laminerals.com
Oh and I agree with the other girl...DON';T use bare minerals. The bismuth in it made my face red and itchy.
try stila tinted moisturizer. not drying at all and has good coverage. go to sephora, they will definitely have your shade. its 30-something dollars, but totally worth it.
Try visiting a department store start out with good skin care lancome has a good line or visit sephora go to a spa and ask a skin specialist.
You should try Oil of Olay in a tinted color. It moisturizes and covers well.
