Is make-up remover really necessary for washing off foundation?

When you're washing your face at the end of the day and you've applied foundation, what exactly can make-up remover get rid of that simple washing with a facial cleanser can't? Is make-up remover really necessary for washing off foundation? Is make-up remover really necessary for washing off foundation?
It isn't necessary, but it really helps. For me, it catches smaller areas wash clothes can't reach. Buy a cheap pack from the drugstore, wipe your face down, then use your 3 step system (cleanser, toner, moisturizer). Is make-up remover really necessary for washing off foundation?
I only use make-up remover for eyes, cause my cleanser won't get that. Then I wash off my face that has foundation with a normal cleanser, cause it seems to work.
yes it is, but there are also certain facial cleansers like boscia that remove make up as well :) you can get it at sephora, saves the extra step!
For washing off foundation, no, make up remover shouldn't be necessary, simple soap and water or your toner should remove it just fine.
I dont use it :/

I just use cleanser

I think make up remover is mostlyfor eye make up

Not really. I think you just get less chemicals off by using a cleanser. Also, a cleanser would clean your pores better.
no I only use makeup remover for heavy eye makeup....like mascara and eye liner...I dont use it for the rest of my face!
i never use makeup remover. you're absolutley right, its not necessary
no. its unneeded. just something else people are trying to make you think you need just so you give them money for it.
I guess.. But wipes are better in my opinion..
