Is foundation good to hide spots? (make-up question)?

Hello I never used foundation or compact powder before, because I never needed.

But now in pregnancy, I am getting lots of spots all over my face!! 

Is it a good idea to use make up to hide during the day?

idkIs foundation good to hide spots? (make-up question)?
hi there, i'm 36w3d pregnant :) i deff know what you mean about the spots on your face and the discoloration. i had them earlier on in my pregnancy and i used concealer to cover them up...if they were bad enough. but i'm not sure if your having a problem with acne in your pregnancy? i have never had more than 4 zits on my face at a time and since becomming pregnant i'v had bad acne. so now i stay away from face make up. however, you should try a loose mineral powder. it works great!!. the foundation made me break out and so did the compact powders. (i never needed them before either). if your self concious about the spots i say cover them up. concealers work real well. good luck to you and with your pregnancy :)
cement will cover them better as will liquid latex, plaster or face mask
Yeah i think it will work. I use dream matte mouse to cover mine when i get them, then i take my makeup off at night so it doesnt stay in my pores all night.
Concealer is what you need...too much foundation can also cause spots...

I would say the best one to get is Clear Complexion by Rimmel London only £3.68 !!! what a bargain !!!! lol

hope that helped !
in pregnant woman there hormone is very active thats why some have acne on there face, black spots and oily skin cause of the estrogen hormone.

*choose a compact powder that prevents oil in the face, has a label of vitamin e. and ohh make sure you choose the right texture color of the foundation that you will buy =)
la roche posay have a brilliant concealer... its called ';movie ___'; its v v good and has ';studio'; coverage, you can't even see the bumps under your skin with it... they use it in film sorry i can't think of the second name of it!
Hey,

I think you should use a concealer so it doesn't cover your whole face then try dusting over a foundation powder like -

Also make sure you keep your face clean to stop the spots getting worse.

I hope you found this useful

All I can say is make sure you get one that doesnt block your pores, or it will make your skin worse.
use concealor and mineral foundaton.
Foundation is great for that! Since you're never tried it before, I suggest something natural and lightweight. The Body Shop has GREAT foundation, and it's natural so it doesn't break your skin out any. I used to use Lancome, but it's about $40 and I'd rather use The Body Shop (same amount of coverage, half the price!) You can go to any cosmetic counter and try their foundation. They will show you how to apply it. When you find one that you like, don't buy it immediately. Wear it for a few hours to see how it lasts and how your skin reacts to it. Then, if you like it, go back and purchase it. I also suggest a tinted moisturizer under your foundation.
i really dont think its a good idea to put face make-up on spots because itll generally just make them worse. if they cant ';breathe'; theyll just last longer, and clogging your pores with heavy make-up will mean youll get more and more! it ends up as a vicious circle...

if you get really self conscious about them then i agree with the person that suggested just a loose mineral powder, as these are much lighter than foundation or compact powder. dont forget of course that your doctor will probs be able to prescribe an effective cream to combat spots -- theres probably even a specific cream for pregnancy-spots! exfoliating your face regularly will also help cause it removes dead skin that spots luuurve.

my best wishes for your new baby. good luck!
No use concealer to hide spots, it has a thicker consistancy and is basically made to hide blemishes...Foundation is for all over face to give a better look to the skin all over :)
