okay so i want to use a foundation but i dont know which one to use because i have sensative skin. is there any kind of foundtaion i could use that wont irrate it you would reccomend? What is a good make-up foundation.?
Almays foundations are amazing. I also think covergirl and neutrogena are good. My skin is super sensitive (i have rosacea) so i reccomend these.
Almay nearly naked makeup- light to meduim coverage, has a nice light refeshing feel, it lasts me all day, SPF 15
Covergirl Aquasmooth compact cream to powder- sheer to full coverage, easy to blend, can get oily so use a setting powder, SPF 15
Neutrogena Mineral sheers liquid- though there have been many bad reviews about this i personally like it, sheer to meduim coverage, drys to a nice powder finish so it eliminates the need for a setting powder, SPF 20
Everyday minerals- these are amazing, have a pretty good color selction, didnt irrate my skin at all
I DONT reccomend these because of a few bad experinces ive had with them irrating my skin
Covergirl Clean Makeup- made my skin very irratated and red, so i immedaitly washed off and returned, after looking at the ingredaints list and looking up a few of the ingredaints, i found many skin irrants in it
Covergirl clean powder- if you want to try this please get it in the fragrance free version because it smells horrible and made my skin red and blotchy
Hope I helped :)What is a good make-up foundation.?
I use Dinair Airbrush Makeup and its all water-based so it won't irate your skin. It's awesome. I've been using it for almost 2 years now and I've never been happier with any makeup. It makes my skin look flawless and it stays on all day. You should go to google and type in Dinair and it will lead you to their website.. i hope this helps...=)
Chanel's foundation is very good.

Is it wrong if I don't use foundation or make-up base?
Honey, I've never used foundation or base and I get a lot of compliments on my skin. In fact, the only makeup I use is lipstick and mascara - a little eye shadow and/or liner for a special night out - that's it.Is it wrong if I don't use foundation or make-up base?
No, it just helps with making the face appear very even toned glowing and perfect complected, that all its function, if you dont mind the uneven tone its perfectly fine..or if your lucky enough to not need it, good for you!... i know a lot of people who dont wear it, however ive never left home without it.Is it wrong if I don't use foundation or make-up base?
Not everyone needs it or wears it. Some people are just lucky cuz they have a nice complexion naturally. I think if your young or you have a great natural and even complexion you don't have to wear it. Either way it's up to you, it's your face so you decide!
No, if your skin tone isn't un even, and you don't have black heads and acne, that's actually healthier not to wear it. :)
Be thankful for your natural beauty.
God no not at all!If you have good skin and your not as white as a ghost like me then I defo wouldn't bother...once you start wearing make up you can't stop so don't during the day unless you really need to.
Of course not. I fyou have good skin you don't need it, and not using it is better for your skin, anyhow. Just make sure you're using a good sunscreen.
No, its not wrong. You choose your daily makeup routine. You must have some beautiful even skin for nothing using foundation or a makeup base! Congratulations to you =))
Not at all.
no but wear sunscreenpores

Make-up tips? Foundation or concealer first?
I use a liquid foundation and apply it with a brush, and I use a cream concealer to cover the red spots.
I generally put foundation on, then apply concealer and set it with a matte powder but I heard that you were supposed to put concealer on before foundation? I tried this once but the concealer just disappeared?
Anyone got any tips?Make-up tips? Foundation or concealer first?
Foundation first, concealer second...this way you don't waste concealer and you only apply it where the foundation did not cover the blemishes you want (I've read this in all the makeup books and magazines and I've done it myself. Makeup artists who have done my makeup even say this is true.)Make-up tips? Foundation or concealer first?
I find that applying foundation first then concealer works best for me, so I'd keep doing what you're doing. The foundation covers the redness first but if you still need more coverage, then apply the concealer. The only time I'd ever put concealer on first would be if there was a finish to my foundation that I wanted to maintain, like MAC's Mineralize Satin Finish Foundation, but for the most part, I do foundation then concealer. Good luck!
always,always,always. foundation then concealer.
Concealer always first.
Prime your face before applying either to help the concealer stick.
May I suggest smashbox photo finish :)
rub your face with rubbing alcohol first, then put on your liquid foundation first, do your eye makeup and let put on the concealer. it works for me!! good luck!!
concealer first always.
i usually do concealer first, since its lighter than my skin. :)

What do they use for Movie/Television Foundation? For all you Make-up artists!!!?
The foundation used on TV and movies looks natural and never cakey or shiny. Does anybody know what brand the make-up artists use on the actors/actress's?? And if there is a special way to apply it? Your help is appreciated! What do they use for Movie/Television Foundation? For all you Make-up artists!!!?
Another brand that is quite popular is dermablend. When I was doing make-up artistry we used it, and the coverage was amazing. It can cover tattoos, bruises, birth marks, anything. The trouble with 'stage' make-up is that it's too heavy for every day wear.
There are plenty of cheaper brands that can look very natural. When choosing a colour for you, the best test you can do in the store is to rub a little on your jaw and test the colouring.
Also, when applying the foundation, to get a more natural even tone, don't just spread the stuff on, you need to do quick flicks with the sponge, almost like you're dabbing it in paint... haha that's the best I can explain it but I hope you get what I mean!!What do they use for Movie/Television Foundation? For all you Make-up artists!!!?
They use MAC products on tv, but the best makeup that i found that gives you that movie star look without looking strange in daylight is bare minerals. Looks great on and doesn't make your skin break out.
As people said before, makeup that they wear on TV is way too heavy for everyday wear. Try any spray foundation (the kind in an aerosol can). Heres a really good one:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
It's a little pricey but well worth it. Spray some of the foundation onto a CLEAN makeup sponge (you can buy these at the drugstore) and brush over face. After a week, throw the sponge away and use a new one. Good luck, and feel free to email me!
Usually it is the loose powder used to finnish a makeup aplication that make the actors look flawless.
The times I've been made up, they used MAC products specifically for film.
Makeup for film/video is much heavier than anything you'd want to wear for the street. Plus, they have someone touching up the actors all the time, so it never looks bad.
I';m not a makeup artist, but have been on TV a few times.
The times I was able to look I noted that they used M.A.C foundation and powder on me. LORAC was another one that I saw in the boxes.
To apply it, they just used rectangular and wedge sponges (have no idea what brand..the sponges didn't seem too fancy, they were throwing them away as they went.)
Keep in mind, this isn't that pratical for day wear though. The stuff is very heavy (with the foundation and heavy-powder used) and looks strange in daylight!

Best kind of make-up foundation?
Okay, so I look around in high school and everyones make-up is as perfect as it was that morning.
but my gets kind of oily. and runny.
what kind of make-up is the best to use and wont break me out?Best kind of make-up foundation?
I am really not so sure i use avon liquid and it stays on for like 30 minutes perfectly and them i re apply but i saw this girl she puts on her make up an it lasts her the hole day so if you find out please e-mail me .Best kind of make-up foundation?
I have combination skin. I use L'Or茅al Paris True Match Natural Minerals. I put this on as a base coat, as on top of a liquid foundation its does make your face look orange :P
I then use L'Or茅al Paris True Match Foundation, which is a liquid foundation. I have tried so many foundations before and this combination makes my skin look much nicer, and it lasts all day.
Oh and i've never found it caused break-outs, so its worth a try :)
NO BARE MINERALS! it has an ingredient in it that makes pores appear larger! Pur Minerals has a 4 in 1 Mineral Foundation w/ SPF 15. It doesn't have that ingredient in it, covers up any imperfections (freckles, redness, acne, ect.) and is healthy 4 ur skin!
A powder foundation usually doesn't make your skin greasy or oily, and doesnt get runny. I use a bit of that first as a bronzer, and then i use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse to cover up a few blemishes. Its a little pricy (about $7-8 dollars), but it lasts a long time and keeps your face looking fresh all day!

Are Geisha's white make up (foundation?) really made up of pegeon poop?
I heard it on a subway ride in ManhattanAre Geisha's white make up (foundation?) really made up of pegeon poop?
Years ago there were many ancient ingredients for white base, but now can you say Max, Ben Nye, Revlon...Are Geisha's white make up (foundation?) really made up of pegeon poop?
Yes, well sort of. Its accually nightingale droppings. They have been used for hundreds of years to pale out the skin. But the white makeup is a powder diluted in water.
dont believe everything you hear on the subway
it is not true
I'm not sure if it's foundation. I'm pretty sure it was used as a cream because it's supposed to be good for the skin. In some countries, they think baby urine is good for the skin. Some think semen. Who knows if it actually works... I'm not one to try and find out.
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.....How would you like to be the guy kissing the woman with pidgeon poo on her face...I am sure that was a fib.pores

Would make-up, like foundation, set off the store detectors in a pharmacy like CVS?
I think ';store detectors'; is the least of your problems!Would make-up, like foundation, set off the store detectors in a pharmacy like CVS?
Lol... probably not but why risk it. I had an interview at a CVS once, and the manager's office was in the store, but above it. There was a one was mirror in his office that overlooked the entire store. If the alarm doesn't go off, chances are someone will see you steal it anyway.Would make-up, like foundation, set off the store detectors in a pharmacy like CVS?
Yes many of them have the security strip inside the box and lids. Stealing is wrong any way you look at it. Makeup isnt THAT expensive. Get a job and get it the right way. God sees everything, including theft.
lolz thats theft...
probably not actually. i once walked out with a concealer by accident and didnt get caught.. i took it back a few minutes later but yknow.
it can be done.
you get points for voting for a best answer
depending on what store. scratch the bar code off and you should be good. but, that's stealing. so yeah... it's a win, lose situations. try it out. haha.
At some stores yes, but they have hidden cameras all over the store. I can't imagine that any makeup sold at CVS is worth going to jail over. They sell low-end cosmetics.
Yes, if you didn't pay for it!
no duh???!!!

MaKe-Up? Foundation, eye-liner, and eye shadow?
What brands should I use? I have a medium skin tone if that helps. What shade of it should i use thnx!MaKe-Up? Foundation, eye-liner, and eye shadow?
Foundation; Revlon ColorStay Active - it evens out skintone really well, it's a lot less thick than the regular colorstay, it looks so natural %26amp; stays on all day
Eyeliner; Revlon ColorStay in Waterproof - it never smudges %26amp; truly stays on all day. I was so happy when I found this because I could never find an eyeliner that would stay on all day!
Eyeshadow; I really like Maybelline - it's cheap, very blendable if you want to, stays on all day, and has a wide range of colors
Hope this helps =)MaKe-Up? Foundation, eye-liner, and eye shadow?

Maybelline Express in Blackest Black

cover girl works good.
Buy a gallon of paint. It will save you money. Hiccup
Try maybeline or revlon........ I like maybeline especially the pure maybeline cover up, but between maybeline or revlon i always end up with maybeline.... for eye liner and mascara i use the lash stylist, and eye shadow the mousse eyes shadow in lilac and the catty eyes one works really nice together......... and foundation the pure one it's made of water and can't clog up your porous..... gud luck
For your complexion, I'd go with earthy shades, the browns...Try L'Oreal black/brown Colorstay eyeliner...I love it!! I really love that brand...For eye shadow, try these:
Covergirl professional eye enhancers...This is an eyeshadow...with three different earthy colors...The three colors are called:
Satin earth--light shade
Toasted sand-darker brown shade
Sunkissed sand-darkest brown shade
These are all great!
For foundation, try using Max Factor Pan Stik, in natural beige color...That will look best, and compliment your complexion. Hope I've helped you!!
I am a down to earth person, not materialistic. I use Cover Girl and have since I began to wear makeup. I did try a few others over the years but still go back to using the same liquid foundation and all other products of Cover Girl. Normally, they have a color fan out for you to place your hand under and see what will fit you best. I have fair skin but in the summer I do tan so it changes. For the eyeliner dont use the liquid for anything, it is hard to put on. I dont have time for that crap, you also dont want to use the pencil that you have to sharpen and you have to use a lighter to get it to even work. Now the eyeshadow, I do believe that when it comes to color be subtle. Dont go outrageous 80's Madonna with pink %26amp; blue. I think the best shades are the tans, %26amp; brown for the crease. Dont forget the blush, my favorite is the natural glow. make sure to squeeze your cheeks inward an make ur lips look fish like. that sucked in area is where your blush should be. Dont know if this is what you wanted but I hope some of it helps...:)
MAC. It is amazing.
:)
for foudation use revlon for eye liner use maybelline for eye shadow use revlon again!!
bare essentials %26amp; clinique r both good for ur skin and rosey colors, and bronzey, go for warm colors. and also, go by ur eye color, rosey and red bring out green eyes...

My 14 year old son is wearing make up ( foundation ), ?
should I be worried, or is this normal these days?My 14 year old son is wearing make up ( foundation ), ?
well i would not be worried, i mean so what??
If he chooses to wear make-up, or dress differently to what you and everyone else thanks is 'normal' then that's his choice and its his life.
If he were gay would you not be happy? he is still your child and you should just support him.
Have a chat with him, and ask him why he wears it, surely its better too talk too him than too a load of strangers?
maybe he is worried about how his skin looks etc, i mean why should it be diff for boys? girls do there hair and make up in order too feel attractive from a young age.
Maybe he is insecure and feels it gives him a bit more confidence
you will never know unless you talk too him will you.
just be calm understanding and none judgemental when you talk too him.
nikitaMy 14 year old son is wearing make up ( foundation ), ?
Worried about what?
Wearing foundation doesn't automatically = gay. Nor should it matter if he did happen to be gay.
Wearing foundation may make him feel better about oily or spotty skin. You can help him by helping him choose a color that best matches his skin color.
Many men, gay and straight, wear foundation to even out skin tone, to protect it from the sun (many have SPF these days) or to accomplish a ';goth'; look in the case of very pale makeup.
And by the way, if you're worried about this, please buckle your seatbelt--his adolescence is going to be bumpy for you. Most of all, you can love him for who he is and his accomplishments, no matter what.
He's worried about his skin most likely...or its a trend going around amongst his friends.
I wouldn't jump to the conclusion its got anything to do with him being gay at all, and I wouldn't confront him about it. If he is thinking it, he wouldn't want mum/dad interfeering in something so personal at his age, when he really doesn't know what he's feeling himself.
Just step in if he's applying it wrong, eg. if its blotchy - he'd appreciate someone who knows what they're doing to help him out to make him look better (even if he more than likely will be really embarrassed about it)
More men are wearing foundation to hide skin blemishes. It's becoming more acceptable. Have you seen all the men's skin care lines with tag lines such as ';It's not your girlfriend's moisturizer.';? There's a move towards this kind of thing.
There were straight guys in my high school over 10 years ago who wore foundation because they had bad acne. Their doctors suggested it.
I guess whats the point of him wearing the makeup? If its just to cover up acne or something, I wouldnt worry. My husband and all of his groomsmen wore foundation to our wedding so they didnt have ugly skin in our pictures, lol. Maybe hes just wanting to even out his skin? If he was wearing lipstick, I might start to worry....
Try sitting down and talking to him and see whats going on. You might be surprised as weird as it sounds some guys use it to cover up pimple scars/ new acne. He could be in the experiment stage. Accept what he says to you because you don't want him to push you away. Hope I could help!
well, most things like that are normal now.
if i was you i'd talk to him and ask him why he is doing this.
then go on from there.
don't be worried til you find out..
and do let us know why he is (email maybe)
and then go on from extra answers then
Maybe he has a pimple he is trying to hide from a girl. Boys will go to all lengths to hide them. Not all boys but most.
If you are really worried just sit down and have a talk with him.
Well its not exactly 'normal' but more and more boys are wearing make-up these days maybe he is slef consious about his skin so waers it to cover it up. But there is also a rise in Gay guys,
x
It's just makeup, it's not like he's out doing heroin or anything.
It's more and more common these days for boys to wear, or atleast try out, makeup.
Is that all? Jus a trend. My best mate 44, straight, 18 stone rugby player uses foundation and moisturiser.
If he's got zits he might be trying to cover them
Talk to the lad
There are a few guys at my college that wear foundation, either cos they have dodgy skin or to cover spots up. Or he could be gay or very vain?
well hes either guna be gay or if he has acne he might be trying to hide it or maybe if hes like emo or something he might just be wearing it as a trend
I know a lot of guys who are wearing foundation... Did you talk to your son and ask him what's going on? Don't assume anything until you talk to him..
In my opinion - normal.
completely normal! just be thankful he isn't wearing bur-berry cap and a trackie!
He could be gay..
Or have his own style...
Find out if his friends wear make up aswell.
if they do his probably got it off of them.
He's either vain, gay, or an aspiring crossdresser.
It's pretty normal these days.. I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.
Well, does he have a bad acne problem? He might be selfconcious about it. Thats the only thing i can think of.
Nothing to worry about,
i think make up on boys looks hot :)
Lol
xx
well i think thats really weird. doesnt he know that wearin too much foundation gives u spots????
i'm 14 and if i did that at my school i'd be bullied...
no, NOT NORMAL!!!
what's the point in it anyway..?
well i would not be worried, i mean so what??
If he chooses to wear make-up, or dress differently to what you and everyone else thanks is 'normal' then that's his choice and its his life.
If he were gay would you not be happy? he is still your child and you should just support him.

Is foundation for make up good to use , even if u dont have blemishes..?
Yeah they make you glow!Is foundation for make up good to use , even if u dont have blemishes..?
Not always.
Foundation can clog your pores and give you blemishes.
Something light or transparent (if your color needs evening out) or a light moisturizer all by itself (preferably water based) will keep your skin glowing and healthy for a long time.Is foundation for make up good to use , even if u dont have blemishes..?
yes. it also makes your makeup stay on longer. i use rimmels dream matte mouse foundation and it works wonders.
Any foundations that have more than mica, iron oxides, kaolin clay, sericite, titanium dioxide, and ultra marine blue is not good for your skin. If you use a foundation that has bismuth, talc, dyes, or perfume your face may break out or become inflamed. I use Mineral Way. You can get this at www.mineralwaymakeup.com If you have any questions contact the company and they will be glad to help you.
well it depends on if you have allergic to some you have to be carful because if you are then it will cause breakouts and rashes for example my friend used one and it tured out she was very allergic to it and she had red rashes aroud her eyes and then it dried out so now it is like dead skin aroud her yes you have ot be carful but the point of foudatin is to even out skin tones or to cover up blemishes
good luck discovering what you wish to find out!!
Foundation is alright but it blocks your pores and if u use it every day in a year or 2 your face is gonna go all red and blutchy.
Instead why dont you use sheer cover. its foundation powder that is actually good for your skin. It is mad3e up of minerals and everything natural
If you dont have blemishes, i'd skip the foundation (it'll clog your pores) and play up your features with concealer instead. You may want to use it under your eyes if they look abit dull.
If you dont have blemishes, but have uneven skin tone, then foundation helps even it out. Dont go for something heavy if its to even out skin tone. Try something like maybellines dream matte mousse, which is very light and thin.
Dont forget to moisturize first!

Best make up foundation?
i want a foundation that will cover everything up ,from pimples to blackheads to blemishes, please help i have tried alot of them but cant seem to stick to one. i like to apply with heavy make up so get me a good one. thanksBest make up foundation?
Make-up will just make your pimples, blemishes and blackheads worse, because it blocks up your pours and doesnt let them breath.
Here, try using these home remedies and tips.
Using Lemon is the best thing to reduce the marks and blemishes on the skin. It can be applied directly on the skin.
You can also rub a lemon peel on the skin with a little sugar on it or without the sugar. After rubbing it leave it on the skin for at least 10 minutes. If you practice this regularly you can reduce the scars/marks finely.
Grate potatoes, wrap them in a cloth and take out the juice. Mix few drops of lemon juice and honey to it and apply it on your face. If you don't want to apply it all over the face then apply only on the marks. Wash off after 20 minutes. (Potato has bleaching agents, which reduces the blemishes.)
Make a mixture of tomato juice and lemon juice. You can fill it in a bottle and keep it in the refrigerator. You can apply this mixture on your face daily with a cotton ball.
Honey added in milk powder helps in reducing the blemishes.
If you have real dark blemishes on the skin make a powder of dry lemon peels and orange peels.
Washing your pillow cases and changing them often helps, because the bacteria builds up on them and it blocks your pores which makes pimples worse.
Avoid touching your face because again, bacteria blocks your pores causing pimples.
Drinking lots of water to keep the skin hydrate and detoxified.
Good Luck

you should try covergirl, it is great with all shades of color and they have this new foundation that is called ';true blend'; I was looking at this commercial for it and it hides all blemishes while you skin still looks natural.
Benefit is the best. Boing for on the spot issues, and Get Even for a finishing powder. They have actual foundations too, but I've never used them.
Seriously does wonders!
Mary Kay Makeup is really good. My face used to break out alot until I tried Mary kay. It work real good. Try it, you will love it.
Maybelline, Mineral makeup, loose powder on top, then blush
Try Cover Girl Clean Make-Up Oil Control...you'll get all the shine control you want , it won't clog pores and prevent dryness..
BARE ESSENTIALS MINERAL FOUNDATION the best ive used

If I am NW20 in mac foundation, what shade would i be in make up for ever Matifying Foundation?
i do know about sephoras shade finder. If I am NW20 in mac foundation, what shade would i be in make up for ever Matifying Foundation?
I am a makeup artist, and I work for Mac.
I've done a little research, and you are probably a #20 in the MUFE's Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation. I say probably, because it's almost impossible to tell your exact match unless you try the product first. Sometimes foundations can oxidize, and this would be a problem for you, seeing as how you have pink undertones, the color would be way off.
I have used this foundation before, and will tell you that unless you have very oily skin, this product will dry your face out. It is meant for oily skin, and contains silica which is a drying agent.
Hope this helps! :)

What is the BEST make up foundation???????????
I like Photogenic by Lancome..Expensive, but good stuff. What is the BEST make up foundation???????????
I think 'lactocalamine' works the best. What is the BEST make up foundation???????????
Anything from Covergirl!!!!
coming from a makeup fanatic,
bare essentials face makeup has worked the best for me.
for 1, it covers up everything u need to cover up.
and 2 it makes your skin look absolutley flawless, and 3, it doesnt clog your pores, so its actually GOOD to wear it.
its perfect.
i love it.
if u have any more questions about makeup email me
The very best is Everyday Minerals. Try everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free. You just have to pay for shipping, which is $5. Before trying EM, I tried everything out there, from Chanel to Cover Girl. Nothing comes remotely close to EM.
I personally love Prescriptives, although it is a little expensive, it is worth it.
Mary kay is good, but expensive.
As for the cheaper brands. I liked cover girl clean, it's fairly cheap and works well.
Also loreal true match blends well and is not thick.
I bought the rimmel and it's way too think.
Everyone prefers differnt types. Some like thicker to really cover up stuff and some just want a thin layer to even out tones.
Mary Kay makes thick and thin that is why they really are best.
i really like clinique, and i definetley think its worth spending a little bit more for. i tried a lot of other foundations like ones from covergirl and maybelline and they worked ok but not as good as clinique. its also better to know exaclty what ur color is because when i used covergirl i had to kinda guess wut would be my best color.
L'oreal True Blend. extremely flawless.
1)Neatrugena Skin Smoothing!clears up my zits and hydrates and covers good!
2)Covergirl(anyone)
I have found that L'Oreal Bare Naturale, One'Step Powder Foundation is the best on the market as of now
I like Revlon Colorstay. I have a friend that likes Almay. It all depends on what type of coverage you want and your skin type. The website below has some tips on buying foundation. I think CVS or another drug store has a good return policy, that if you don't like it, then you can return it.
Good Luck.
MARY KAY ALL THE WAY BABY! Its expensive, but I love it. It doesnt take much to cover your face, but yet it stays on all day. AND it doesnt rub off onto other people (like if you hug them)
I would have to agree with bare essentials makeup being the best that I have used. It is powder so you don't get that shiny look. I have not seen it available in stores though, just via mail order, and very expensive!
I love Almay Clear Complexion...have combination skin and it's great..

I'd say MAC studio fix fluid. It comes in a variety of skin colors and is very professional. I know lot's of makeup artists use it, and i personally like it myself. I've also heard MUFE HD foundation works well too. There are lot's out there, ya just gotta try 'em all. I would say find a few foundations for different types of skin tones. Maybe a full coverage, a tinted moisturizer, a powder, a mineral foundation and a foundation stick. As for the eyeliner, definitely check out the Urban Decay 24/7 liners, they come in a huge variety of colors and last all day. Good luck and I hope i helped :-)

Do I have to apply foundation and powder when I apply make-up or can I go without it?
just not worry about any foundation or powder and just apply my makeup. Or is it better to actually apply the foundation and powder?Do I have to apply foundation and powder when I apply make-up or can I go without it?
Personally, I don't apply foundation and powder. If you have a couple of pimples, why should you cake your entire face with foundation? It's just adding more harm to your skin.
If you want even coverage, you could apply foundation and powder. It's your choice though.
So if you feel like you wanna make your face flawless and more beautiful than it already is, go ahead.
Good luck!Do I have to apply foundation and powder when I apply make-up or can I go without it?
You don't need to, if you are going for a light natural look (ie; mascara, a swipe of blush %26amp; lip balm) you might only need a little concealer dabbed here %26amp; there, if that much. But if you are going to apply eyeshadow a bit more blush %26amp; color on the lips you need a foundation to help keep things in place (why its called foundation) think of it like a primer that evens out the canvas before you paint on it. so if you are going for a made up look, you definitely need foundation
there are a lot of foundations that you can find that don't need you to wear any powder with them.
there's this fabulous dior airflash makeup which is an airbrush makeup and all you need to do is spray it on your face.
but if you're looking at something less pricier, look at maybelline dream matte mouse makeup. it comes in a little jar and all you need to do is moisturize your face, apply this mouse makeup and your set for the day.
You don't have to apply the foundation and powder, but it would make it easier to blend your eye shadows and blushes if you did. if you want you could also just apply the powder to blend it, foundation is just to cover red spots and blemishes.
Hope I helped.-)
If you feel more comfortable with wearing foundation then i would use just a tad bit of powder to seal it together and it gives it a nice touch. But if your okay with not wearing foundation then powder look just perfect too (: hope i helped.
I personally think all you need is moisturizer, primer, and concealer. This is the basis for any look. You can create a flawless, fresh-faced look in under 5 minutes with the basics.
if you wear foundation you should wear powder because it seals the foundation :)
but if you don't you can wear only powder to cover the shine of your skin :)
It is your preference. If you like how you look without the makeup then threes no sense in using it. Save the money and your skin.

Would like a nice tanned finish to my make up. What color foundation and powder should I use?
u should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...its awesome..cause u can email in a pic and they will tell u what shade to get that will match ur skin tone perfectly...they also have tons of colors that will give u that great bronze look...i use a shade called bronze 2 ..ive been using their makeup for 2 years and i LOVE it..anywho, hope i helped..=)Would like a nice tanned finish to my make up. What color foundation and powder should I use?
It doesn`t matter what color foundation you use, as long as it closely matches your skin tone. What you should do is apply powder bronzer after you apply foundation. The purpose of bronzer is to give you a natural, noticeable looking glow. The best bronzer that you would probably like is Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer. Here is the link: http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY鈥?/a>
Hope this helped!Would like a nice tanned finish to my make up. What color foundation and powder should I use?
start with a mineral powder that matches your skin tone. just use a little bit dont glob it on. that helps with any blemishes and gives you an even tone, then finish with a bronzer, go as light or as dark as you want, the bronzer powder isnt as thick as makeup and it looks natural, just dont put too much on...and put a heavier coating on the cheek bones forehead nose and chin, then blend....it will look fabulous, dont use bright colors on the eyes, try a cream shadow in two colors, a light to go on the whole lid, then a caremal, mocha,or bronze for the lower part of your eyelid, with some jet black eye liner, some eye poppin mascera and....either a clear or mocha colored lip gloss.
you can buy bronzer powder at http://mgarland.mymarkstore.com and get FREE shipping with order of $25 or more. Also, check out the new Snap To It urban neutral colors that look great with a tanned finish! Get a FREE brush set with purchase!

I know we can't take gels/liquids on a plane, but is liquid make-up (like foundation) ok?
I work for TSA (the federal agency which controls aviation security) and like a previous poster said, you cannot bring liquid makeup onto aircraft in carry-on luggage. This includes foundation, lip gloss, certain kinds of mascara etc. This prohibition also goes for toothpaste, perfume and gel or aerosol deordorant. Just a word of advice- I would not attempt to ';sneak'; anything past screening officers- it will probably get caught and there is the possibility of a fine, especially if it seems you intentionally tried to conceal a prohibited item. You can however, pack these items in your checked luggage.
In response to what another poster said about eye drops- I don't know where they were flying from or when they traveled, but for everyone else's benefit, you CAN transport eye drops- up to 4 oz. If you need more than that, you can always put it in your checked baggage. If you need any other information, you can visit www.tsa.gov. Hope this helps.I know we can't take gels/liquids on a plane, but is liquid make-up (like foundation) ok?
I just flew in from London on Monday, and they still won't allow you to take any form of liquid or cosmetics. But I think it might depend on where you're flying in from and to. But I think that flying into America, especially from Europe, is the most stringent.I know we can't take gels/liquids on a plane, but is liquid make-up (like foundation) ok?
No. Lipstick is not okay either. My coworker had many tubes of expensive lipstick confiscated.
I would recommend that you just take your ID, money, cell phone, and/or reading material (or whatever) with you and pack everything else up.
Sorry to say, but the ';official'; answer is no. That's what all the security papers at the airport say. I know of one person who managed to sneak her stuff through on the way there, only to have to throw it ALL out on the way back.
You cannot take ANYTHING liquid on a plane currently (no mascara, no foundation, no perfume, no shampoo). It all has to be checked.
About two weeks ago in Boston, my bag was searched and the security guy had me opening up my powder compact (allowed) and my chapstick (allowed) to check them out, but threw out my mascara and lipgloss (rats!).
Happy travels!
Yes it is. Dont take it or they will take it from you.
You should check the ailines Web site. I would assume they have a list of items on the site.
i would imagine so.....
I know they won't let you take foundation in to the plane because they didn't let me take my drops for my eyes. The only type of liquid that you are allowed to take to the plane is milk and you have to prove its milk. Hope my answer help you.pores

Whats that new make-up foundation?
I saw a make-up foundation on a commercial. It had a dial to change the colour of the foundation. I couldn't find it on the interent and I don`t know the brand.Whats that new make-up foundation?
Hey! It's from Revlon.
I tried it and there's actually not that big a difference between the ';lightest'; and ';darkest'; shades, so I don't know if I would really recommend it.
Anyways, this is the link :
Revlon Custom Creations
http://www.revlon.com/ProductCatalog/Pro鈥?/a>
If you want my opinion, though, Revlon has an even better foundation. It starts off clear and matches your skintone..works really well, and ends up being a lot more worth it then the dial version, since it has
more shades in the end.

Light Scarring into the skin, how do I cover them up and with what type of make up foundations?
I have Almay liquid foundation for oily skin. It blends in perfectly and covers my redness really well. It also helps heal blemishes; however, I have ice pick scarring (scars that leaves light random holes in the skin). So The liquid foundation doesn't cover those scars. Do I use concealer under the foundation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :) Thank you everyone.Light Scarring into the skin, how do I cover them up and with what type of make up foundations?
google Dinair Airbrush Makeup its awesome. It covers everything. Ive been using it for 2 years now and i LOVE it...it makes my skin look flawless and stays on all day. Its also water based so its not bad for ur skin. its the best makeup ive used...i'll never go back to conventional makeup..anywho i hope i helped...=)Light Scarring into the skin, how do I cover them up and with what type of make up foundations?
yeah u can use a small concealer brush to hide the scarring that way you can just dab it on and it covers more well. after applying the concealer apply your foundation.
Two great concealer i would reccomend for scarring are dermablend concealer it lasts for 18 hours, and amazing cosmetics has a great concealer that provides great coverage.
try bare minerals foundation, and there bisque concealor as well., it covers everything with a light natural look.

What do I need for natural look make up? powder or foundation?
what make up stuffs do I need for me look more natural?
color, brand give me much details are good?
what brand is good for your skin
which one is good for your skin powder or foundation?
mak elook simple and natural
Thank youWhat do I need for natural look make up? powder or foundation?
Bare Minerals is perfect for you!
It gives your skin a soft look and it looks very natural while covering up little flaws you might have. It's kind of a mixture between foundation and powder. Foundation clogs your pores as does powder. bare Minerals doesn't do that! You could sleep in your make-up and be just fine, wake up with no pimples. I love it. =] It can be pricy, just remember you only use a little bit and it's well worth it!
You can go to ULTA or Sephora and get a free make-over with it so you can see how you like it before you buy it. Good luck! =]
http://www.ulta.com/store/bare-escentual鈥?/a>What do I need for natural look make up? powder or foundation?
Tinted moisturizer to even out skin. Clinique makes a nice powder called Perfectly real which evens out nicely. Cream blush, some eyeshado and mascara with gloss makes a nice natural look.
For evening, play up mouth or eyes, but not both, unless you want a more dramatic look.
use bare minerals!! haha the ';get started kit'; works very well. it evens your tone, it has SPF 15, it looks natural, and the best part is that the foundation starts as powder...and then gets a little liquidy like foundation usually does! i love it and it barley feels or looks like your wearing any face makeup! hope this helps! :)
i use maybelline dream matte liquid mousse. I love it!!! it covers all my flaws but still looks very natural. In the ads i see on tv they it gives a airbrush look and it is so true.I dont need a powder at all. It also doesnt make me break out or dry my skin.It lasts me all day too
I would say:
* a tinted moisturizer (Laura Mercier, Merle Norman, Bobbi Brown)
* a translucent powder (virtually any brand makes a decent loose powder)
This will give you a made up, but very natural look. Have fun!
BARE MINERALS
Bare minerals brand of makeup hands down is the most natural and best! i wouldnt use anything else.

Any good make-up foundation to suggest ??
I put on a foundation hen i go to school and some of them are just too oily, or they fade really easily after time, any ideas?Any good make-up foundation to suggest ??
The BEST one is definitely MAC. If MAC is a little too pricey, I would suggest something by CoverGirl.Any good make-up foundation to suggest ??

bare minerals, is very good, want to pay less? then go for everyday minerals....these are powder form, so they are going to be very good for your oily skin..

OK the liquid mineral foundation by Bee-Luscious I guarentee it will stay on all day even in hot humid weather. NEVER EVER feels oily. It has no oils or fillers to fade. The cheap stuff will always fade and feel oily.
HANDS DOWN:
Make Up For Ever ';Mat Velvet Plus'; (available at Sephora).
I just bought my first bottle last night after having experimented with a sample for a week. Expensive ($34), but it's the best stuff I've ever tried.
My skin type is: unpredictable. Sometimes super oily, sometimes super dry. Blotchy, with one terrible red area that I have to cover. Not only acne-prone, but often covered in pimples in that one area.
Very important: a little goes a lonnnng way, so the best you can do to keep it looking natural is to use extremely sparingly. Start out with a teeny bit. Do one section of your face at a time, since it dries quickly.
If you have problems like me (severe discoloration issues), try the stuff. It has quality pigment that doesn't fade throughtout the day. The coverage is so great %26amp; so natural that it makes people look at my eyes, and not at my skin. It makes me look beautiful. :D
dont.
wash your face everyday and night and use tonner.
then buy some face wipes that clear sweat and dirt off the face that builds up during the day and prevents shine. use them when your face gets oily.
and you'll have naturally clear skin without having to worry about makeup.
I usually hate wearing foundation because of your same problem. So I finally found one that I love, it's light, it stays on and I found just the right color.
It's by Biotherm, Matte Souffle'. It's like a mousse. Then I use a Mousse Blush by Land'come called ';Magique Blush'; with a very good brush. It stays on all day,
I love Chanel, but that may be too pricey. Here are some tips for whatever you use:
1. Apply moisturizer before foundation (it gives the makeup something to stick to besides your pores)
2. Apply foundation.
3. Apply powder to set.
First put on a moisturizer, then liquid foundation, and then apply matte powder.
then your make up should stay on for a longer time.
(it will take care of the oil too)
Well first off, if you're still in h.s. your skin should be in good enough condition that you don't need foundation. You're still young and will be wearing makeup for the rest of your life...don't complicate it now if you don't have to! I'm 25 and still try not to wear foundation all the time-only when going out. Otherwise, I just set my makeup with loose powder.
Anyway, if you're insistent upon wearing foundation, the best thing to do is first of all, decide how much you want to spend and what kind of coverage you want. Department store brands (MAC, Lancome (which I use) Benefit, Clinique, etc.) are going to be more expensive, but they're made with better ingredients and you'll get personalized service which means it'll be easier to find exactly what you're looking for. They can run anywhere from $35 and up. If you don't want to spend that much, consider a good drug store brand like Revlon or Sonia Kashuk (at Target) which are decent as well.
If it were me, I'd choose to go to a department store and buy a quality brand. Although you'll spend more, chances are you'll get exactly what you want and it seems it won't be a waste of money considering it's a product you'll be using a lot. Hope this helps!
The Liquid Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious Cosmetics won't feel like that. The cheap foundations all have oils in them. Plus this foundation will stay on all day.
I use Revlon Colorstay Active (Lite) everyday and set it by dusting colorstay powder. I have combination skin which is very sensitive and which clogs easily with anything. This foundation has been very very nice to my skin. No adverse effects at all. It gives you light to medium coverage. It stays put in humidity, hot weather. Looks and feels like you have no makeup on. I have not tried the other colorstay versions so I don't know about those. But this one is worth trying. Be sure to MOISTURIZE your face atleast 10-15 min. before you apply it. It makes a lot of difference. Otherwise it is a little tricky to blend. Apply it on one area at a time so it will be easier to blend. If you get the technique, it is wonderful. Read the reviwes on www.makeupalley.com
Bareminerals is great try the kit it stays and looks flawless. Go to local bareminerals store or sephora so they can pick your shade.
i use bareMinerals.
you can get it at sephora or order it online. (www.bareminerals.com)
its around $60 but it comes with warmth (to make it look like u got sun) and veil which keeps it on all day.
but if its too pricey than go to a drugstore and they have other forms of it like physicians formula which works really good!
first put on some un-scented lotion, and then use covergirl true blend. it doesn't fade in school for me, so hopefully it won't for you either. good luck!

I been using almost make up foundation from clinique but its kind of watery?has anyone experienced this?
Hi there, I have had that experience with tinted moisturizers and other light or sheer coverage foundations. There is not much talc/mica/solids in those types of makeup, which means it will seem watery or very very thin as compared to thicker formulations. I have used clinique's City Block which is a tinted moisturizer, and sometimes I think the products is way too thin. However, think of it the other way: more water content means less pore-clogging nasty oils, chemicals and greasy ingredients that could irritate your skin.
If you truly think the foundation is really too watery, how about taking it back to the Clinique counter you purchased from; they will definitely return it and be able to advise you on another product.
Good luck!

Which make up product is the best for foundation on african american skin?
Im new to make up and is trying to find a good product to you.Which make up product is the best for foundation on african american skin?
There is no product that is specific for a race; you can use any brand that has a shade to match your skin tone. The one with the largest selection is MAC. I use MAC, Bare Minerals, and Lancome.Which make up product is the best for foundation on african american skin?
i saw once on tv that queen latifa came up with a new make-up line for dark skin in cover girl called queen makeup or something like that. its the first make up line i think spifically for women of color and all shades of darker skin. and she also has alot of pretty bright colors for like the eyelids that suit dark skin really well =]
you should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup..they have tons of shades and the best part is u can email in ur pic and they'll tell you exactly which one to get...ive been using their makeup for years and i LOVE it...it works on every skin type and color. It covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin..anywho...hope i helped...=)

Which brand is good for foundation (face make up)?
I use lancome Photogenic Lumessence Liquid foundation. It's around 拢26 but it lasts you about 6 months and use it daily for work It has natural dewy finish and if you go to any counter ask them to match you skin tone.
Check out the web...
http://www.lancome.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog鈥?/a>Which brand is good for foundation (face make up)?
I use maybelline pure makeup
This makeup has water instead of oil in it which does 3 things...
1) Water doesn't clog pores so you don't have to worry too much about periods when letting your skin breath
2) The water isn't as heavy as oil and will not feel as cakey
3) Oil in makeup makes the makeup wear off quicker
I like this one the best but I would recommend anything that says oil free :)Which brand is good for foundation (face make up)?
I use mabelline dream matte mouse, it's thicker so i find it is easier to cover blemishes and they have lots of different shades such as ivory, nude, sand etc to suit every skin colour.
cheaper ones:
- maybelline
- maxfactor
- loreal
- revlon
....
More expensive:
-benefit
-YSL
-MAC
-laura mercier
-lancome
-dior
and loaddddds more
they are all good though if you find the right one for your skintype

1) Loreal

Any good advice on stain remover for liquid make-up (foundation)?
spray hairspay on the back of the fabric (if you can) just a wee drop and leave it for a few minutes then rub off!!
(only if its not a delicate fabric!! ive never tried it on anythin delicate!!)Any good advice on stain remover for liquid make-up (foundation)?
Good old fashioned shaving cream has always worked for me. It has to be shaving cream, the kind that looks like whipped cream not the gel. The dye in the gel can stain on its own. Spread some on the spot, lightly rub in and let set for 10 minutes or so and launder the garment as usual. If it is a dry clean only garment just let it dry first. Shaving cream is just whipped soap and works well on most stains, even chocolate.Any good advice on stain remover for liquid make-up (foundation)?
I heard that hair spray works.

i believe the best stain remover that money can buy is vanish inwash stain remover pink power and if you soak it in the stuff as directed on the tub then wash it its brilliant, failing that ace bleech is great too thats what i used before vanish came out in the shop

It could be Sally Hansen's Fast and Flawless airbrush foundation but I can't find it anywhere???Anyone know what foundation the make up artist carmandee (sp?) uses on the TLC show 'what not to wear'?

Carmindy uses ERA foundation but ERA is now discontinued at Sephora, but you can get it online at www.classifiedcosmetics.com or in select boutiques. It's one of my favorite foundations...wears like iron!! Carmindy applies it differently than the company recommends, Carmindy applies with a sponge and pats it on but it works fine too. i think its around US$60. MAC has a spray foundation also id check out.

What's your favorite lip gloss? eyeliner? mascara? foundation/concealer? &other make up?
Haha, this seems like a fun question to ask? Please list your fave brand of makeup for each and why. I like asking these questions b/c I wanna try out some new products as well. What's your favorite lip gloss? eyeliner? mascara? foundation/concealer? %26amp;other make up?
Well, I don't really wear lots of makeup. I only wear eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. I get cheap eyeliner and mascara. But, I really like lip gloss!!! I wear Neauties. It's all natural which is good because there is no chemicals or preservatives added! I like the natural stuff. It's an online company, so it's environmentally friendly!! My favorite is Cherry and I usually don't like cherry anything, but this is made with food grade products. I mean, it's made with flavoring that actually goes in food!!! It's great!!! :)What's your favorite lip gloss? eyeliner? mascara? foundation/concealer? %26amp;other make up?
i use soft lips chapstick cuz it has a shine to it so it kind of looks like your wearing lip gloss.
Maybeline eyeliner because it's not too expensive and it works
I was using NYC mascara but i can't find it anymore so i just switched to Great Lash by Maybeline which i don't like as much.
And i use cover girl powder because my friend got it for me for my birthday plus i love it, it works really well!! haha
i'm not much of a make-up person.,
but for lipgloss i use lancome juicy tubes.
and my eyeliner is just a slab of kohl shaped to apply to your eyes,
i bought it for a buck.. but it works really good. =]

Have to wear make-up for acting, but the foundation makes me breakout...?
G-day,
15 years old (male) and I do alot of acting, and when I do I have to wear make-up. As soon as the show is over I make sure to take it off, because I know its bad for my skin plus I'm not the type to wear make-up in public at all.
My skin isn't perfect (like any teenager), but its normally really clean and clear of acne unless I'm in a show and have to put on foundation.
What would be the best kind of foundation to put on, plus is there something that I can get that i would put on before the make-up to help protect my skin?
As a guy I don't know much about which foundation is better althogh I've been acting for years, so any help would be great!
Happy holidays~Have to wear make-up for acting, but the foundation makes me breakout...?
Well let me just say i feel your pain and I am skin obsessed so i hope i can help.
First of all regardless wether you are acting or not you should always wash/tone and moisturize your face twice a day with non condemogenic alchohol FREE,fragrance free products for acne prone skin. Always wash your face when your done your show to get rid of sweat and make up.
NEver ever put anything on your face that is Oil based rule one.
Also Make sure it is non condemogenic.
A water based make up is good.
To help protect your skin use a moisturizer. then before your apply make up apply a Silicone Based Primer. Primer is basically like a pre coat for your skin. This will fill in any wrinkles and also protect your skin from the make up. The make up sticks to the primer so it wont come off as easy with sweat. You should also lightly exfoliate your skin with sugar 1-2 a weak. And if you can deep cleanse it with a mask once a week to be extra safe.
Its less about the brand of products and more about the ingredients. Because some they will just make as cheap as they can and it would be like coating your skin in acne causing ingredients.
Alchohol is not so bad if you truly have acne although it is very drying, the other things are very important for skin care. Just beware you don't have Rosacea cause it looks almost the same as acne but you can make it worse with aacne products.Have to wear make-up for acting, but the foundation makes me breakout...?
noncondemogenic means it wont clog your pores. It should say right on the package and if it doesn't then don't buy it. If it says wont clog pores, thats the same thing. Make up will say right on it. I think their is a maybellien one that is water based which i imagine is good. Report Abuse
As for skin care it depends on what kind of skin you have. Their is so many different types and disorders its hard to tell. I think a good place to start is the bodyshop the staff are usually pretty good. Be hesitant about products that contain alchohol ESPECIALLY CREAMS!FX has some great tips. Report Abuse
You already have been given some great answers and I will be repeating a bit of it but here is my opinion.
There is not any product you can apply under the foundation to protect your skin. But here are some tips that will help.
Drink lots of water. Keeping your system good and hydrated will help stop break outs even from foundation.
Always wash your face and hands before applying makeup. Never let anyone else use or touch the makeup. Keeping your makeup as bacteria free as possible will help.
Use disposable foam wedges to apply your makeup. Throw them away after each use. Wash your powder brush after each use and only use washable or disposable powder puffs.
Pancake makeup is definatley the best type of foundation for you.
After the perfomance use a gentle fragrance free makeup remover asap.
Do not use harsh facial treatments right before you put on makeup or right after removal.
You may want to consider Proactive when you are acting. Use it before and after the show.
You need to use cake/pancake base instead of the creamy, oil-based kind. To apply it, remember to use a makeup sponge instead of your hand. Wash your sponge after each use.
Both kinds are really hard to get out of your pores, so make sure to wash your face right after you're done acting. Use cold cream or the kind of Noxema facewash that comes in a jar. Exfoliating with a microbead facewash will also help, as will pore-cleansing toners.
You may get some funny looks while you're buying that stuff, but it will greatly reduce your chances of a bad breakout.

A good full coverage make-up foundation?
Hi does anyone know a good full coverage foundation, my skin is combination type, I also have started to have slight dark patches under my eyes %26amp; concealer ain't getting rid of it, I am 34, I used to use a Mac foundation but I now use max factor Miracle touch but Im not really happy with the results, any suggestions please x.A good full coverage make-up foundation?
I have combination skin and also when i have pimples they leave marks on my face so i need really good coverage, but not one that looks cakey!!!
The best foundations I have found BY A MILE are....
1) the foundation I swear by, which i was surprised by, because I had never got on with the brands other foundations is DIOR FOREVER! it stays on so well doesn't dry out my skin at all or make it oily which is a first!! everyone has mentioned how much better I've been looking recently for it too
2) estee lauder double wear is also really good, really stays on and a really good coverage!!
A cheaper brand, is Rimmel colourstay...it is really good, and it does last the 16 hours!! I use this when I feel like saving up my DIOR forever foundation!!!!
For the dark circles: Ives Saint laurent Touche Eclat, I swear by it!!! Its a brush pen, and amazing! gets rid of dark cicles, makes you look more awake etc,
Lemon Aid by benefit is also really good!! brightens the eye area...really good on the eyelids and the corners of the eyes!
Hope I helped!!:)A good full coverage make-up foundation?
Forget the heavy, cakey foundation. Use SHEER COVER! It works sooo well. The kit comes with amazing brushes, a light concealer and the mineral powder. It FEELS like you have virtually no make up on, but it will cover up any of your blemishes, red patches, and dark spots. Kind of like an airbrush! Best part? You can excersise while wearing it and it won't clog pores if you fall asleep wearing it!
Good luck!
I'd go for Bobby Brown's Foundation stick, you can adjust the thickness as needed %26amp; it has won an award, see link below for more details:
http://www.bobbibrown.co.uk/templates/pr鈥?/a>
I find her range of foundations are very good.
Revlon Colourstay is great for that as it is really thick and covers well. They also have a special one for oily/combination skin (: I also find that it doesn't clog up my pores.
You can use Maybelline Mineral Power Foundation its great foundation, and for the dark circles you can use almay's smart shade concealers. Honestly these both products are great for any kind of skin.
I have combination skin also and I used Loreal True Match line. I have gotten dark patches under my eyes and after I use my foundation I use Loreal HIP Highlighter to balance the color.
Try Soap %26amp; Glory concealer to hide the dark circles first of all %26amp; apply Stila face powder with Elizabeth Arden shimmer powder over it to add slight sheen on the face, that should create a perfect base for make up.
Have you tried multi finish, you can get it for about 拢5.00 a bag you just have to mix with water.
shiseido moisture mist beauty cake compact foundation is really good and it evens out skin tone really well. it isnt too expensive either
try the mineral powder foundations they are amazing, they cover all and you dont feel like you are wearing makeup its so light
I use the MAC foundation.
It's a little expensive but it works great :)
try a clinique foundation.
theyre great!
Shiseido is very good.
i use covergirl its the best :)
or like loose powder

Best Mineral Make up foundation?
I have combo skin, undereye issues and blotchiness....
Do mineral make ups help with this?
I want a glow..
But I might need something heavy, I have been using Dermablend.Best Mineral Make up foundation?

i also had combo skin and i use bare minerals. i actually had asked a question about whether bare minerals or mineral powder by maybelline is better, and a cosmetologist said that bare minerals is much better for your skin (whereas the mineral powder is simply a cover-up agent and won't help your skin). if you want to control the combo skin better, you may want to go to a dermatologist for recommendations on face washes or topical medicines (that's what i did). good luck!pores

Foundation and other Make up Advice?
I need suggestions on a type of foundation to buy. I can never seem to find the right match. I am a cool beige complexion with some slight reddening on my cheeks and forehead from acne that has recently went away (I am on my final month of Accutane). I still have some scars to cover up as well. Also, my skin is VERY dry and flaky now. I absolutely have to wear sunscreen on it everyday.
I would also be interested in any color advice. I have very pale green eyes, a pinkish beige complexion, and light ash brown hair with platinum blonde highlights. What eye shadows, mascara, and eye liners would look good? What lip colors? Blush?
Thanks for answering my questions!Foundation and other Make up Advice?
I have dry skin and applying liquid foundation just makes my skin flakyf. Not sure why. Anyway, I have switched to Bare Minerals and I am amazed at the coverage, even for my dry skin. It makes you look radiant. Go to one of their stores, if you can, and get them to do your makeup. They have developed makeup that covers redness and acne and it is healthy for your skin. Sounds like you might look pretty in natural colors, pale lipstick, light, natural colored eye shadows or pale blues, silvers. You just have to experiment with what shades of mascara, eyeliners, etc.Foundation and other Make up Advice?
When looking for foundation for dry skintypes, make sure that you look for cream-based formulas or hydrating liquids. Steer clear of powder foundations as this stuff is the ultimate in creating cakiness and flakiness. Lancome and Estee Lauder have some rich creamy moisturizing formulas that go on sheer and flawlessly, but they are quite expensive. If you are not willing to fork over that kind of dough however, opt for a foundation from the CoverGirl Line. There stuff is awesome and will not lead to breakouts. By the way, if your complexion is not that bad (that is, you don't have any more pimples and bumps) opt for a tinted moisturizer (or mix one part foundation with one part moisturizer) and apply over your face. This should be just enough to even out your complexion. THen, using a bit of concealer (Loreal TruMatch Concealer is ultra-blendable and natural looking), just dab a tad of it on previous acne scars, any areas of significant redness, and any current blemishes you may still have.
***By the way, kudos for you to wear sunscrean everday. However, make sure before you apply your foundation, that you apply a really richy hydrating lotion to your face, allowing it to fully absorb into your pores before putting on makeup. Try Olay Total Effects Facial Moisturizer.
As for your color advice, Iheres my advice.
1,. To bring out the beautiful pale green in your eyes, sweep an iridecsent shadow over your browbone to highlight your eyes. Then, using a deep plum shade, sweep the eyeshadow over your crease; this will contour the eyes and really make them POP. After, gett a lighter purple shade- almost a grayish purple, and sweep it over the eyelid. Next, get an eggplant color eyeliner (or if you prefer, dark brown), and line the upper lashline with it, smudging it with a q-tip afterward for a natural and sultry effect. Lastly, apply 3 generous coats of lengthening mascara to acheive a bright-eyed effect.
***If purple is too much for you however , you can opt for taupe shadows (a mixture between light brown and gray) to line your eyes. Then, and heres the pop, apply purple MASCARA to create a more subtle but still eye-enchanting look.
As for your pink beige complexion, play up some of the warmth by applying a sheer pealescent bronzer to your cheeks and temple. This will make your skin glowy rather than ruddy and dull. Then for blush, apply a cream cheek stain in apricot to counteract the redness in your cheeks. As for your lips, pale pink lipgloss will finish off the look perfectly.
By the way, light ash brown hair is beautiful for this look, but have you ever considered a darker more richer chestnut color? I don't know what you look like, but maybe try that for a more eye-opening effect. The darker the hair, the more yoru pale green eyes are contrasted, and therefore, the more they pop.
Anyways, hope htis hel[ps
Go to the Bee-Luscious web-site at beeroyalproducts.com and send them an email with your photo. That's what my friends and I did. They are very good at matching skin tones. They will send you a few samples and you can see which color you like best. I guarantee they will be able to help you. Also their products are th very best I have used. Great quality and superb customer service.
If its dry, make sure you use moisturizer everyday before you put any foundation on.
Shiseido has a wonderful pressed powder foundation that is also a SPF 45 sunscreen [about $35, find it at Macys and sephora]. As for the tones, you dont have to have one thats exactly, exactly your skin tone, it should be really close but dont worry if its like 1/2 a shade off, it'll work. Ask the people at the makeup counter and theyll help you.
I think brown mascaras, light shimmery lip colors, peachy blushes, and gray or brown eyeshadows would look nice on you, but play around with a few colors and test them out to find what looks good.
hope I helped!
wow.. a few questions.. first things first.. i think you should invest in a decent foundation.. its confusing because there are so many out there.. ive always used revlon make up.. but.. there are other brands out there that have great coverage like prescriptives which is a new one.. and the people mix it for you to suit your exact coloring.. really good idea.. its pricey but worth it.. you can never go wrong with a black mascara.. i use chanel inimitable which is great and the brush is perfect. if i was you, for blush id use a really nice light pink or peachy color with some gold flicks in it or something similar. lip colors id stick to nude.. or pinky colors. you cant really go wrong with nudish colors.. and for eyes.. green is fantastic if you have green eyes.. or grey would be great as well..
i would first get one for dry skin,i allways go a shade darker than my skin cuz i too have scars on my face i also took acutane,i use a liquid and than i take a powder one over that it seems to cover more, the powder pat it instead of wiping it on it covers scars betteri put on a face lotion first the best is oil of olay.light gren eye shadows or mauve colors would look good .do a medium shade on lid a darker shade in crease and a lighter shade above.you could go green ,mauve, and green again,i use the same color eye liner as the eye lid color .if i use green shadow first i use a darker green eye liner, mascara allways use a black or brown they look best,a pinkish lip color would be nice and a blush i would go towards a pink scince you have a pinkish complexion any ways. i hope my advice worked and good luck. just experiment .buy your eye shadows in trio packs cuz thats the colors that go best together.
ok so i had the same problem, but then i found stuff that i LOVE!! its a Clinique product and it has this acne clearing stuff in it...
it is color number 7.
just go into Clinique and they'll know what to give u=D
When picking and buying foundation always pick a color closest to your skin type, go to a makeup counter at your department store and try on different shades. Since you have acne, always use an oil-free foundation with medium to deep coverage if you have some blemishes left on your face. Once you clear away your acne marks, you can go to a sheer coverage.
For your dry skin always go with an oil-free moisturizer. There are also new on the market moisturizers with salicylic acid for acne skin.(Try a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen for the summer.) Remember, to cleanse with a cleanser that has salicylic acid, this will clear up your skin and prevent future breakouts. (Clearasil has a great acne line.)
For eyeshadow, use earthly colors like browns, or also light wine colors and a light pinks.
Eyeliners: try any color really, off black, browns, and purple. Just smooth it across the eye and blend for a smokey affect.
Lips: I always blend colors together to achieve the color I want. You could use pinks, burgandy, and corals.
Blush: try light to med. pinks and corals.
Marcara: is no big deal it's all in how you apply it and for when. For a day look go light and for night go dramatic and apply it a little deeper(off black, black and brown) are fine.
Remember, makeup should be fun and easy. Always experiment at home with different colors to acheive the look your comfortable with. Caution: when you go to a department store to try makeup be careful, many customers try makeup. When trying on lip gloss or lipstick never apply directly to you lips. Ask them for a q-tip and use the insert the q-tip in the gloss once, and for lipstick use the color on the middle of the tube never the top. With eyeshadow use cotton balls, and mascara use fresh mascara wands, ask the sales person if they don't have them, don't apply mascara with a public wand.
Christian Dior is great and its only $50.00
Its a great makeup and worth every penny. Its all that I use. Check out their website. I use Christian Dior sculpt liquid foundation. Good Luck.
And make sure you do not use Clinique. I used it. When you pay cheap , that is what you get. It drys your skin. Beleive me, I have two of their foundations that are completely full.

What make-up foundation last the longest? But not heavy or think.?
I use this stuff from a line called ';Max'; it's like an off brand of ';Mac'; but it doesn't work very well...HELP ME. :DWhat make-up foundation last the longest? But not heavy or think.?
REVLON ColorStay liquid foundation. I have freckles and sun damage but when I put this on my face is flawless. It truly stays on from morning until night. I live in Florida where it is hot and humid but this makeup never melts, streaks, or looks cakey/fake in the sunlight. They make it for dry, combination, or oily skin and you can pick it up for around $9 at any drugstore. Good Luck! What make-up foundation last the longest? But not heavy or think.?
I use Clinique Perfectly Real Makeup. I hate the feeling of thick foundation, so I switched to this 2 years ago. It is really lightweight, you can't even tell you have it on, and it lasts all day into evening.
Hope you try it, I have gotten both of my sisters on this as well.
bare minerals works for some, but if your light skinned and blemished like me, Maybelliene dream matte mouse is perfect. just make sure to apply it light. and it stays on all day.
bare minerals didn't cover most of my blemishes. just kinda made me look blotchy...
revlon color stay..stays on till u wash it off..i swear by the color stay eyeliner..it wont smudge and stays in place..and revlon is fairly cheap
Foundations do not last on me because my skin is very oily. I have tried every brand that you could possibly name. They all failed on me, except Everyday Minerals, Intensive formula. Try everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free. Ask for their intensive formula and you will see a world of difference in duration of the makeup and improvement of your skin-
If you really want an excellent makeup, there is a company called Christi Mar. Its an all natural mineral line. This product is amazing!! It goes on so smoothly, and never makes you look or feel heavy on the skin. It gives great coverage and lasts all day. It won't make you break out or irritate the skin in any way. Also you don't have to deal with a messy loose powder, because it comes in a compact. I love, love, love it. You can find it at www.christimarcosmetics.com
Tru-Blend by covergirl works for me! it doesnt clog pores either.
You won't regret if you try Bare Essentials. It's light, covers well and good for your skin. You can't go wrong.
maybeline dream matte mouse is lite and not thick doesnt clog my pores
Bare Minerals. You can buy the knock off brand for cheaper though.

Makeup is the general term for any cosmetic that you put on your face (or body). Foundation is the skin-colored cream used for creating a balanced color.Pls,anyone knows what is the difference between make up and foundation?
Foundation IS make-up and you put it all over your face to even out your skin tone.
Make-up is like general eye shadow, eyeliner, etc. Foundation is in a liquid form of make-up put on your face.
Foundation is a kind of make-up. It is what it sounds like, the foundation. You put it on first, then all other make-up goes on top of it. It smoothes out the appearance of any blemish or dark or light spots and gives a polished, smooth appearance. It matches your natural skin tone.

Make-up foundation choice for tan skin?
So I'm african american and I've never been able to find make-up that matches my skin tone even closely. I usually have to buy 2-3 different colors and just mix them to get something that looks natural. I have scars from acne and chicken pox that I cover up too. So I'm wondering how I can find a good shade that will not require me to mix a bunch of differnet colors. I think it's because I don't tan easily and anything exposed to the sun is darker than anything not exposed so I have a hard time trying to match my different skin tones. I'd say I'm around a light-medium tan. Most people say I look bi-racial(skin color wise) but I'm not.Make-up foundation choice for tan skin?
*THIS IS THE BEST ANSWER!! im of color too... n if u want something cheap and effective try loreal true match foundation!! they have ALOT of colors!! and i have some scars too! i cover them with the true match concealer... let it dry then use the foundation!! oh and if u want even more coverage top it off with the true match powder!! pat it on! lightlyMake-up foundation choice for tan skin?
There are several products that are made for darker skin tones, but most women are stuck with the color blending trick that you already use. If money is no object, there are several companies that will custom color mix for you, and just for you, but your talking hundreds of dollars for one bottle of foundation! Try Sephora on-line, and see Iman, and Bobbi Brown's make up line, you will most likely find a match for your skin tone there. Figure on spending between 50.00 and 75.00 dollars per bottle however.
Cheaper choices are...Loreal's has a new line, high intensity eyeshadows, foundations, that are pretty dark.
MAC makeup go to a Mac makeup counter and let the makeup specialist match you up perfectly. I had that issue all my teen life and half of my adult life . Until 2001 I found out about MAC makeup and I love it I purchase the NC45 Studio Fix foundation blend powder. It matches better than Mary Kay , Fashion Fair or Maybelle . The makeup costs about 25 dollars with tax its 26 and some change. Try it and you will love it what do u have to loose believe it works I have been a loyal customer 5 years and it hasn't disappointed me yet my mom now uses its and she was loyal fashion fair customer and she sees the difference Fashion fair leaves you looking orange like Arizona red clay. An Mac leaves you looking flawless and natural and it blends so well. Stop going to the drugstore for cheap makeup its your face spend a Lil extra for you face so it will look Good and you can be happy and not self conscience of if your face looks a hotassmess from cheap foundation or powder. i buy expensive makeup for my face and cheap lip gloss , Rimmel eyeliner and brow makeup and mascara.. An for my beauty regimen i use Noxzema and Gris is Pearl soap soap sold a t Walmart . Just try and see an I guarantee that you 'll love it and never go back to the cheap stuff ever again.
