Mineral foundation make up good for skin?

Hey, i have acne slightly, but it's jus brown marks from previous spots and there are a few bumps here and there.


Therefore as a girl, i want to cover them up using makeup. However too much make up can irrtate the skin and clog pores and make the skin worse and acne worse too.


However i heard that mineral foundation is good for the skin, ok not totally, but it doesnt contain harsh chemicals, but it's light and enables the skin to breathe etc.


So does anyone know any gently make up that is mineralled and is good for the skin and doesnt contian a lot of oily skin, cos my skin gets VERY oily easily!

Jane Iredale is the best mineral makeup! I bought it from my dermatologist 2 years ago when I was having breakouts. My dermatologist said it was the best even though he was also offering many other mineral lines. My sister was also recommended to use the jane iredale line from her derm.





The jane iredale slogan is ';the skin care makeup';...imo bare essentials is terrible for oily skin. It looks like cake sitting on the top of your face. Since you have very oily skin I would pass on bare minerals foundation. Their mineral veil and blushes are nice though. I've had friends that loved everyday minerals at first and then ended up with breakouts (like myself) or couldnt really get a great color match.





I've purchased both the pressed and lose foundation at 36-49$ a piece. I like them both, they both offer great build-able coverage. Great for hyper-pigmentation (brown marks) and active acne. The price makes sense considering Ive only purchased 3 times in the last 2 years. I even saw an article recently about the Jane Iredale line in Health magazine. Its one of the best mineral lines out there. My acne moment is over with now but I still love the makeup cuz its good for my skin...There are lots of mineral makeup lines but not all are 100% natural or the best for acne prone skin. janeiredale.comMineral foundation make up good for skin?
Hey you can wear Mineral Foundation. Since mineral foundation does contain Zinc Oxide . Zinc Oxide contains Acne fighting ingredients. Report Abuse

i love everyday minerals :) its fantastic!


however, if you have sensitive skin, i would go for pur minerals, as it doesnt break people out as much!
Use the L'oreal Mineral Foundation.

bare minerals works wonders and really helps skin. it is pricey but its worth it and lasts all day
i have the same problem as you, some mineral makeup do work good. the things you should try if you are just starting with makeup is everyday minerals. you can go buy some online at everydayminerals.com, but the hard part about that is choosing your perfect color. its about 4 dollars to sample it, and in the sample there is quite a bit.


If you want to spend more money on your mineral powder, i suggest you try urban decay surreal skin mineral makeup, that stuff is awesome!


if you feel like your face gets too oily when using one foundation, dont be scared to switch your foundation every week if you have too. I do it all the time and believe it or not, i dont have any acne! hope that helps!
