What is the actual name of the product?
Like when I was looking online sometimes i.d. would come up.
Is it worth the money?
Do you need their brush to apply it with or can you use any?
Thank you so much!I have a few ?'s about ';Bare Minerals'; foundation make-up......?
What kind of skin do you have? .. If you have crazy breakouts .. you'll need to see a dermatologist for that. I did and my acne has cleared up. Now I only get those 'girl once a month breakouts' .. which is nearly none now since using Bare Minerals. So basically I'm acne prone, oily and have some acne scarring. I bought the starter kit at sephora for 60$ .. it comes with everything you need. If you buy the 2 brushes (concealer and kabuki), 1 foundation and 1 mineral veil .. it comes out to 94$. So I'd go with the starter kit! LOL Now .. if you can find a different brush (or have a different brush) .. then of course! You can use it. But make sure it's a good quality brush .. such as sephora, ulta or MAC.
Okay, now for coverage. Like I said before, I have some acne scarring (hyperpigmentation). I apply the Bare Minerals Concealer with the concealer brush on areas I need to cover .. then apply it again .. but with the Kabuki brush. Next, I apply the foundation with concealer brush one time, and then apply again with the kabuki brush .. next I mix some of the Warmth with the Mineral Veil and apply that with the Flawless Application Brush .. then apply a light layer of the Mineral Veil .. or I just use my Dermablend Setting powder (compact). It covers me so good! I was actually suprised when I first used it! LOL
The name is I.D Bare Escentuals .. or Bare Minerals for short. .. So if you search for it .. I.D is correct if it comes up.
Yes its worth the money to me :] but everyones skin is different. Find a Sephora or Ulta store near you to test it out:

http://www.ulta.com
Or you can order it and if you dont like it send it back. The colors are kind of weird .. with liquid foundation I'm a medium kind of tone (but I'm really pale!) .. but with BE I am fairly light/light .. but I only use the Fairly light. (which is the lightest) .. so if you are anywhere near pale .. get the fairlylight/light starter kit. I just winged it and bought it from sephora .. since I'm too self-concious to let people see me with no makeup on to try it out. But if you can, try it out first!
At 14, I was using liquid makeup to cover my imperfections. Which only made it worse. Good for you for wanting something healther! :]
Other mineral makeup you can look into are Everyday Minerals, Youngblood and Arbonne. .. Everyday Minerals has a kit and you only have to pay 4$ (but you only get 3-4 applications with the foundations/concealer) .. so you can try that out before buying BE.

Hope that helped!
ADD: WOW! sorry, I didnt realize I wrote so much. LOLI have a few ?'s about ';Bare Minerals'; foundation make-up......?
the actual name is i.d.bare minerals by bare escentuals. the foundation costs 25.00, but lasts up to one year. it is totally worth the money, you use less , it works on all skin types, and looks natural. i've been using it for 5 years, and it has actually improved my skin. yes, you need the brush. go to any ulta store, they sell the starter kit for 60.00.
yes bare minerals do work...it like a totaly different make up from any other. it qentle and it not too much of a cover up on ur face. and yes i think u do need there brush to do it. i heard it is design a different way. goo dluck
I'm so glad you asked!!
I have been using Bare Minerals for about a year and a half, and I think it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I used to have pimples and now they have completely VANISHED. I think my skin tone has also become more even as well.
Listen to the informercials, because all of the claims they make are 100% TRUE.
I will never go back to liquid foundation again.
eh i used bare minerals and it sucked but then i know people it worked wonders on
yes you need their brush to apply it
best way to find out if it works for you is to find a bare minerals store or sephora around you and have them put it on you..(or any other place that sells it) before you spend the money on it
actual name is i.d Bare Escentuals ..not sure what the ID stands for tho

i think that their foundation makes great powder lol keeps the shine down great..and they eyeshadow is my favorite..
but other then that..it just didnt work out for me
I'm not too certain about Bare Minerals, but I got stopped by some guy when I was coming out of work (at the mall) who was trying to sell me some mineral make up from a company called BellaPierre (www.bellapierre.ca) and it looked interesting. He sat me down and showed me how everything worked. You could take 1 colour and make it into nail polish, lip gloss, eyeshadow and something else... with the nail polish all you had to do was take the mineral powder and dab some clear nail polish and apply, with the eyeshadow and lipgloss you had to buy the clear stuff to make it into eyeshadow and lipgloss. It looked really cool, but expensive.
I have used bareminerals for a few years now... Im 22 and i love it! It covers up flaws fabulously! You do need their brush to put it on... Its designed to absorb it so you can buff it in. Buy a kit first and that way you will get the foundation, flawless application brush, and a few other things. Then after that you can just buy the foundation since you have the rest of the kit.
