Make-up, foundation and mineral make-ups?

I have really pale skin and it's acne prone. I am looking for something which will not clog up my pores and which will look natural. I need to know about mineral make-ups, if they are really as good as people say and whether the ingredients in it are truely beneficial or carry any great risks?

I do not like liquid foundations and there are very few light enough for me. I've been using Talc but was informed it causes kidney stones and clogs pores.

Anyone who can recommend anything or even give me tips on clearing up my skin, I'd really appreciate it!Make-up, foundation and mineral make-ups?
for clearing up your skin i have found that once you have washed your face get a reasonably wet cloth with warmish water and let it lay on your face for about 10-15 minutes to that at night and wash twice a day, and use a toner before you wash your face to open up your pores, i also do not moisterise i let me skin dry out for a few days when its bad and then moisturise then leave it again for another few days, i do it and it does work.

For a cover up you can try a translucent powder and under neithe use a consealer on the bad spots or you could just go with a light colored LOOSE foundation powderMake-up, foundation and mineral make-ups?
Mineral make-up is awesome. I have pale and acne-prone skin just like what you have. I started using Bare Minerals about a year ago and it is the best make-up I've ever used! It's very light and makes your skin look flawless.

You definately shouldn't use any make-up with talc in it--very bad for your skin! Bare Minerals doesn't have any talc so it won't make you break out.

Mineral make-up looks the best if you take good care of your skin: cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisturize. Find a good skincare routine and the make-up part will fall into place. :)
i use bare essenticals but its very pricey its all powder and i love it and i have bad oily skin
I am using a pure mineral cosmetic called kms mineral essentials and love it! It is comparable to the bare minerals brand but it does not include the bismuth ingredient (natural arsenic lead) that is in Bare Minerals.

There is a large variety of foundation shades available and you can even order samples to try first if you are unsure of your shade. They ship internationally too.

Make sure you have a good skincare routine in place, cleanse, tone, moisturise morning and night. Perhaps go to a salon and have a skin analysis and product recommendation to start you on some good products. Alot of the products from the supermarket etc are not very good for the skin esp if you have problem skin.

Mineral makeup is a very good choice for your skin type, there are alot available I have used Jane Iredale, Inika, and Everyday minerals and i find them all to be quite good. Just have a look on the web sites and get some samples to try.
Hi there,

All the information out there says that mineral foundations are non comedo genic (doesn't block pores) and allow skin to breathe. I am a rep of the company Diva Cosmetics and we have just released a Hydro Cream Mineral Foundation. This is really unique because it's actually a cream mineral foundation (not a powder or a liquid). The formulation is super light to wear but provides fantastic coverage for break outs, without you having to worry about it causing more break outs. You can use a super light layer and just add a little more where it's needed.

It's also hypo-allergenic, anti inflammatory and anti microbial (fantastic for sensitive skin and problem skin) and is Talc free - it's true that Talc is a nasty ingredient.

You can go to www.divacosmetics.com.au for more info. I'm not trying to sell you the product but I really think you should check it out. It's $41.95 to buy and comes in a lovely silver compact with a large mirror and a natural sponge.

Hope that helps.
This probably isn't going to be super-helpful, but mineral makeup is /amazing/.

There's no oil in it.

It doesn't clog pores.

It makes your skin look sooo smooth.

And it covers acne rather well.
