Make up- foundation?

is it a good idea to wear make up while working in a resturant.....im worried it might streak if i sweat but is there anything i can do to prevent it....i need to wear it as i have very red face while waitressing....anytips?Make up- foundation?
No it shouldn't streak... the more expensive the foundation, generally the better...benefit are a good brand and they seem to let your skin 'breathe'. Apply thinner layers in the sweatier places, eg. upper lip, and forehead, as the more you put on the more gloopy it will be if you sweat (sweat usually changes the colour of your foundation- many a day an unwanted orange tash has appeared through too much foundation in this area!) A quick general- all cover spray of toner should hold your foundation 'canvas' well in place too. Your eye make-up may run a little, so go for the obvious, waterproof mascara and probably no eyeliner as it'll smudge. And one more obvious one (and probably a health and safety regulation at your work, but pin your hair back from your face, as that will make you sweat too!) Good Luck xMake up- foundation?
if its a good one then it wont streak. mineral make-up is great, i LOVE loreals true match minerals, which i get from boots but john lewis and superdrug also sell it all for around 拢13. it comes in loads of different shades so for the more natural look, find one that exactly matches your skin tone. it lasts on your face forever, i can wear it all day without needing to re-apply it. here are some great tips on how to apply:

allow your moisturizer to dry and absorb before applying your make-up, this may take a few minutes.

always use a non-mineral, oil-based moisturizer that will not clog pores. if your moisturizer does not absorb into your skin, neither will your mineral makeup.

use a setting powder as a base all over if you have oily skin...it will help absorb the oil naturally.

using special enhancers such as ';polished'; will refract light and make your dark under-eye cirles disappear. also use in the corner of eyes, mouth, etc. to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

mineral make-up should be applied in light layers. if you feel you need more coverage, keep applying light layers.

hope this helps

I like Clinque Dewy finish - it costs about 拢16 but a bottle will last you a year! It comes in a massive range of colours and will really tone down your skin tone giving a lovely base to pop some blusher on. Use a brown based blusher such as a bronzer rather than a pinky tone blusher that will just make you look redder. It never streaks on me so I am sure you will be fine - you can use it just on your cheek area rather than on your whole face for a really naturall look. I like the Just Neutral shade and always apply it with a sponge.
I work in the back in the kitchen and I wear my make-up just as I would wear it to school. It looks fine and it doesnt melt off. I do have to make sure I use a finishing powder over my foundation other wise my face looks oily from being in a hot kitchen. Other than that, I do my make-up just as I would any other day. I wear clinique if that helps.
this may sound crazy but it works, apply a green concealer (over a normal foundation) or a green foundation (under a normal foundation) to your skin as this will balance out the red . be careful not to apply too much or youll end up lookin like the hulk lol

i think NO.7 sell green foundation

hope this helps xx
I live in south florida and it's hot and humid here pretty much year round. I wear the Hollywood mineral makeup from LA Minerals. It doesn't sweat off or streak. I can swim in it and it stays on.....so should be OK for waitressing!

Their samples are only like $1 and they ship them free.

use a primer under your foundation (it will keep the foundation even and make it last!) also, try using a powder foundation its a lot nicer and won't streak.
depends on the type of your makeup

if cheap makeup then yes it wont look pretty after a while

if good quality makeup then it wont be a problem
Try a good foundation and then use powder over it to keep it looking fresh throughout your shift.
wear mouse foundation.

the thicker it is the thicker it will say on
A good foundation won't go off.
you should use MAC... its really expensive though.. i buy it all the time.. its awesome =)
u should wear powder over it because its drier x x
