What is a good make-up foundation?

well i want to buy a foundation, are there any ones that would be better than others?i have olive-tanish skin, so what would be best? i was thinking M.A.C. or would i be better off using something like Cover Girl?What is a good make-up foundation?
Mac broke me out. Revlon Colorstay is great for a long lasting finish, but it breaks some people out and can look masklike because it is full coverage. I like the CG whipped foundation because it is very light. If you want minerals, go with Everyday Minerals because you can get free samples from them and try it out before commiting.

try prescriptives, or physicians formula, or something organic,from Whole Foods- (they sell great organic makeups/shampoos/condition) to cover your face. alot of those minerals whatever in makeup actually cause more damage than they cover.





Mac makeup is great for colors-eye/lips/cheeks, nail polishes,etc, but I would not recommend their foundation
MAC is so over rated and hyped it isn't even funny.





CoverGirl isn't any good either...it is thin and runny and turns orange.





Mineral is not the answer either. That is just as over hyped as MAC.





Check out Revlon Colorstay. They have a good color selection. I have also heard good things about the Maybelline mineral foundations, both the liquid and the powder.

but since you say your a olive tan color i suggest you go to MAC and ask them to mix a foundation for you so it matches your skin tone more evenly

Bobbi Brown is awesome for Olive colored skins. It's pricey if you are willing to spend for good quality.
